Hello all WEAP users,
I would like to ask about some basic equations for WEAP.
IN using WEAP,'What is the base equation of WEAP?'.
If I will do a research (focus on Water Balance on river basic), which equations can help me and which module, which documents, can I study in WEAP user guide and Tutorial.
If my question is not suitable, sorry for my mistake.
Whenever, please help me.
Thank you so much for everything.
Dr. Hossein Babazadeh

Hi Hnin,
First of all, I highly recommend you studying the WEAP tutorial from the following address.
http://www.weap21.org/index.asp?action=213

Moreover, WEAP has a dynamic and strong help in any tabs or page in the GUI that very useful for technical understanding.

Finally, you can use the publication tab in lefthand of the WEAP website to know the most recent research that has published using the WEAP.

Best Regards,
Hossein

Thank you so much for your help. Dr. Hosssein Babazadeh

And then I have data for gauging station, reservoirs, and demand sites.
If I will be created one catchment on the upstream of River above the gauging station, how about putting data for catchment node. Dr. Hossein.

In my study area, includes one main river, two gauging station (center of river and downstream of river), 4 reservoirs(between two gauging stations), two main demand sites (agriculture and domestic).
Please suggestion me!
How can I prepare data for catchment node? I will be used rainfall-runoff (simplified coefficient method)

Hi Hnin,
You can use the gauging observed data as catchment runoff or use a rainfall-runoff model that is calibrated using gauging data.

I suggest delineating your conceptual model on paper then move it in the WEAP schematic. However, the state of justification for modeling is so important. What's is your main goal for simulating and what is your objective? It shows us the priorities and the methods that we use in water resources management modeling.

Best,
Hossein

Thank you so much for your suggestion, Dr.Hossein

Now I already finished for running current account (reference scenario).
I used as a historical data (from 1999 to 2018).
I set current account year (2018).
Before creating future scenarios, I want to do data evaluation for historical data.
But I am not found results(from 1999-2017), I found only result of 2018 year.
Please explain me!
What is wrong?
How can I get to calibrate data?
My idea is to use R2,RSE (from WEAP data, Observed and simulated volume).

My question is "how to appear my results from historical data in result view?"
I am really Thank you so much to you.
I hope your suggestion for me.

Hi Hnin,

At first check, the WEAP time step in the GENERAL menu, If it correct, check the results items at the bottom of the results page or in the right hand. Indeed, I don't know the problem, but I guess, it has a problem with the results view page.
If the problem persists, I can check your model.
For calibration, you can use any statistical software, moreover, Excel has a lot of statistical parameters that you can use it in calibration.

Best,
Hossein

I set 2018 as a current account year and 2040 as a last year of scenario in WEAP time step in the General menu.
And then I used historical data (from 1999 to 2018) for all data entry in the current account.
After running, I want to do calibration (historical data).
However,WEAP shows results(from 2018 to 2040) in results view.
To do calibration, I want to get past results (from 1999 to 2018).
But I am not found these results.
It is my problem.
If you have a time, I would like to request to check my model.
How can I send you? Please! Can you give me your email address.
Thank you so much for your attention.
