Hello Dear,

I cannot copy the observed data to paste in the WEAP data entry table. I saved as the CSV format in excel and already created comma format in excel. Then, I cannot get the next step. Please give me suggestion to do it.

Dear Myat,

You cannot paste Excel data in WEAP - you will need to use the ReadFromFile wizard. Please see the video on this topic ( http://www.screencast.com/t/hLpxOfX137 ) which is one of many topics discussed on our videos page ( www.WEAP21.org/videos ).

Hello Ms. Stephanie Galaitsi,

I followed the manual video that you sent. I got it but it is for monthly. I am using data for my thesis is daily. Although I tried to change the format for input from excel, WEAP told me " read from file error". Please give me some suggestions for daily data to input WEAP model.

Thank You.

Hi Myat

There's a great section about the ReadFromFile function in the Help Menu (in the top ribbon of WEAP, Help/Search, and then type in "ReadFromFile"). It's pretty long, but if you scroll down, there are different examples of how to format your excel/CSV files based on time steps. Scroll all the way to the bottom, and you'll see the section about formatting daily data.

Basically, it's date, data column 1, data column 2, data column 3, ...

For your data format, you should use a directive at the top of your sheet (this will make data transferable). You can find instructions for this in the same ReadFromFile document, about 2/3 down.
