Hi everyone,

I'm modeling an irrigation district in WEAP–MABIA and noticed that WEAP sometimes diverts much more water than the demands actually require.

For example, the canal diverts 50 m³/s (its maximum capacity), but approximately 46 m³/s flows unused out of the end of the diversion (System-Wide).

My settings are:
- Maximum Diversion: 50 m³/s
- Diversion Fraction: 0%
- No minimum flow requirements

When I reduce the maximum diversion, the excess flow disappears.

What I need is for WEAP to divert only the water required to satisfy the demands, without unnecessarily reaching the canal's maximum capacity.

Is there a setting or allocation rule that can prevent these excessive diversions without imposing artificial flow limits?
