Subject: Too high agricultural water demand

Hi all,
I am setting up the water allocation (agricultural and domestic consumption) in the northern part of Thailand. The agricultural water demand is modelled as a catchment with different types of land types (e.g. rice rainfed, corn, sugarcane, irrigated rice, mixed farm and etc.). Once I run the model, agricultural water demand are incredibly high (2000-3000 CMS). Any suggestion on which parameter(s) I should carefully adjust to get appropriate water demand values? Thank you very much. Chusit |

Hi Chusit,
Did you check the value you entered for the area of your catchment object where you have irrigation? Its unit (eg that it is not km² instead of ha, that there is not scale)? That you entered the correct % for Irrigated Area? Hope it helps... |
