Subject: Extending time series data

I’m applying WEAP for my PhD research on WEF nexus by using a model originally prepared by others by extending the time series input data in it. However, I could not do this, and change the reference and last years in the existing model. Would you please help me in doing this?

For your information, I red the discussions on using excel for WEAP data export and imports on https://www.weap21.org/index.asp?action=9&read=2138&fID=30 but could not find appropriate solutions.

Thank you very much!

Hello Mulugeta,
If i understand correctly, you have 2 questions.
To change the reference/current accounts year and last scenario year, choose Years and Timesteps under the General menu.
To extend the timeseries... If your model is set up to pull the old data in from a csv file, you can add data for additional dates to this file (make sure the model is closed before altering the file and that the data you add is in the same format as the original data).
Alternatively, you can use the ReadFromFile wizard to point WEAP to a new file that contains both the old and new data.

Please post more details if you are still having trouble.
